Connect Mentoring Program
The counseling department works in partnership with the Connect Mentoring Program to provide support for students. Under the direction of Mrs. Teresa Wilkins, volunteer mentors are matched with students to provide invaluable mentoring that make an impact on student academic success and social-emotional well-being.
Students are recommended for the program by Guidance Counselors, the school Social Worker, the school Psychologist and teachers. Students are then interviewed by the Program Director and are admitted if they are motivated and have parental approval. Students in the program have a variety of needs. Some need help preparing for college, while others need organizational skills.
Become a Mentor
Please call Teresa Wilkins (813) 846-3048 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Natalie Raney at 813-220-1003 or email@example.com to discuss your interests and availability. Every student has very different needs and we try hard to match mentors with mentees carefully so that it is a rewarding time for both the mentor and the student.
